Real Estate Market - Still Doing Well

There were many "experts" that went on record, published articles late in 2018 and early 2019 predicting the real estate market would take a significant step back this year, based on what we have seen in the first quarter of 2019, that does not appear to have materialized.

While results for the first quarter of 2019 are not as strong as our record setting year in 2018, they still have been very good and compare favorably to prior years. In addition to properties sold and under contract, we still are seeing strong numbers for our showings and favorable feedback from potential buyers regarding the quality of our houses. Let’s take a look at the number of houses under contract in April, over the past three years:

Properties currently under contract:

April 2017 = 15

April 2018 = 35

April 2019 = 22

Again, our results and the market in general in 2018 were ‘off the charts’ we are still off to a very good start in 2019 and we, as well as our business partners (Banks and Realtors) expect to see a consistent level of sales activity through the remainder of this year and into early 2020.

We are still early in the spring market and expect to finish construction and get another 12-15 houses on the market in the next 30 days.
