Two New General Contractors

We recently added two new General Contractors to our organization. Mike Bray and Cory Butler, both bring a significant amount of construction management experience and they are both already very busy building houses they ‘hit the ground running’ as they say and their houses are making amazing progress.

Both Mike and Cory are full-time V2 Properties employees which is a first for us, up until this point our General Contractors have not been full-time V2 Properties employees. We are really excited to have Mike and Cory on board and expect great things from both of them in the coming years!

Push for Building Permits

It’s hard to believe, but we are already feeling the pressure to get building permits approved by the end of 2020. With the city’s tax abatement program changes scheduled to take place on January 1, 2021 we are pushing hard now to get as many building permit applications into the approval pipeline as possible. It typically takes 30-45 days to get a building permit approved once it is submitted to L&I for review. The problem is we are not the only developers pushing to get permits approved, EVERYONE is doing the same thing as us and the system is going to be challenged to say the least.

Finally, I can’t believe I am writing this, but have a fantastic Labor Day Weekend. It’s been some year.
